I learned photography in the 90s with my dad. We did black and white film photography and developed our own film and printed in a darkroom. This translated over to me being a school photographer for the yearbook all throughout middle school and high school, still using film. I took a photography class in university and then spent the next 20 years relentlessly practicing on my kids and the landscapes around southern Utah, where I live.
I started taking my camera to shows in 2019 at blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves. During the pandemic lockdown, I taught myself digital photo editing on my phone, using Adobe Lightroom. I was lucky enough to be able to go to several shows this year, and camped out overnight so I could be front row and get pictures on my little point-and-shoot. I've never had a photo pass, but that would be amazing!
I do this for fun, and because it is what makes me happy. Sharing my photos online with other fans has made me so many lifelong friends.
